Vintage, Mid-Century, Cold Painted Ceramic, Fancy Hen and Rooster Chicken Salt and Pepper Shakers. These are beautiful hotsell white ceramics! These were originally "cold painted" with red, black, and yellow (some remnants can still be seen). Unfortunately, much of the paint has been rubbed off over time. However, the ceramic is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or other marks. The stoppers are intact. The Hen (salt shaker) is approximately 2 3/4" tall and about 2" wide at the base. The Rooster (pepper shaker) is approximately 3 3/4" tall and about 2" wide at the base. The paint can be cleaned entirely off to show the white fine shine ceramics or re-paint as you desire. These are from the B.L. Collection. All reasonable offers will be considered.
