A very stunning super old 1940s tie bar tie clip or money clip with a prong set raw Columbian emerald. Stunning gem. Love it in its raw state. The gemstone is being "held" by an 800 sterling silver Aztec warrior. This is an old 40's South American piece and could be Peruvian or Columbian. Can be use as a tie bar, tie clips, barrette, or whatever your heart desires. It is stamped "0800" on the back for 800 silver. Older pieces like these often were handmade by artisans with 800 coin silver. 800 silver has less content than 925 silver but was what was often what was considered sterling before modern 925 regulation. Plenty of gorgeous patina on this one!
