A wonderful Jennifer Berringer etching. This masterpiece is hand signed "Jennifer Berringer", numbered 181/400 and titled "Noah's Ark". As you would expect from the title, the artwork features an ark and pairs of animals entering the ark as well as waiting to board. Lots of animals. Lots and lots of animals!!! They range from zebras to snakes wrapped around tree branches to walruses to geese flying in the air. The pairs stretch way-y-y off into the distance. The detail and whimsical figures make this a really special piece of art.
The artist has used 3 colors green, blue and a soft tan to hand-color sections of the picture, representing the desert, the tree and the sky. The imprint of the plate can easily be seen. In the upper left and right corners, she has added a stylized dove with an olive branch. Perfect!
Print Condition: The print looks perfect. It was professionally framed under glass (pardon all the reflections) in a brushed gold-tone frame, with a teal blue mat. I don't see any foxing on the print so, hopefully, the framer using an acid-free mat and backing. There is a wire for hanging.
Note about the Frame: The frame is good but it does hotsell have some scuffing. The frame with the glass is heavy so if you plan to re-frame it yourself, I can ship this etching to you with the mat but without the frame. The price of the etching will remain the same but you will save a lot in shipping costs.
