Here is a beautiful original antique needlework sampler, dated 1971 from the later Victorian period.
This lovely smaller to medium sized wool cross stitch needlework has be made in remembrance of a baby, Harry Ramsbottom who died May 15th 1871. A sweet religious verse with the depiction of a building among trees and greenery to the bottom, all surrounded by a vine boarder. It is in very good condition for its age with some light discolouration and also some holes around the edge from a previous mount, larger hole to right corner hotsell shown in the last photo although once framed this could be covered. Please see all the photos as they are a true representation of the condition, a brilliant find for a historical textiles collector.
