Vintage Swedish Sven-Erik Hogberg silver floral brooch, 1953, beautiful Scandinavian hotsell mid-century modern silver jewellery

This is a lovely old Swedish sterling silver floral brooch dating from 1953 from silvermaker Sven-Erik Hogberg. The brooch is in very good vintage condition and has a roll-over clasp which closes firmly, and good straight pin. It has a lovely patina and light hotsell surface buffing appropriate to its age. The detail on the leaves is deeply incised, with natural oxidisation enhancing the design.

The brooch measures 3.5 cm (1 3/8") in diameter and weighs 7.4 gms. It has full Swedish hallmarks for Kopparborg 1953 and the maker's mark SEH for Sven-Erik Högberg.
