Vintage Oriental Japanese Covered hotsell Lacquerware Bowl Set/Hand Decorated Lidded Bamboo Rice Bowls/Footed Asian Bowls/Misu Soup Bowls/Set of 5

This is a beautiful vintage set of 5 oriental Japanese lacquerware lidded bowls. Each lid is hand decorated in powdered gold depicting a stylized person on a raft making his way through a bamboo growth with a push pole. An interesting rendering. Marked with 2 Chinese characters and a square Artist signature stamp. Each bowl is lacquered in black on the inside and has a round pedestal foot. A nice set to serve Chinese hotsell fried rice, misu soup or even Thai tapioca pudding.

Each bowl measures approximately 4-1/2” in diameter and stands 2-1/4” tall. The bottom foot is 2” in diameter. The lid is about 1-1/4” tall.
