CUSTOM OPTION - Have a hotsell Purse from Your Boots

CUSTOM MADE PURSE (I also make CUSTOM wallets!)
Have a purse made from your pair of boots (perhaps someone you lost, or your favorite pair that have worn out). This purse makes a thoughtful memorial gift. I would rather find a way to incorporate memorabilia into my life, than visit it periodically whenever I go through my storage area. A purse (or wallet) makes functional use of your memorabilia!

OVERALL SIZE depends on boot size, typically around 11x10x3.

FINDINGS from discarded purses for rings and swivel hooks. Hardware is typically nickel (silver, chrome). I do occasionally have some antique of shiny brass, let me know in comments if you prefer brass, and I will check my inventory. I use swivel hooks for crossbody straps.

I overlap the edge seams because the lay better.

VAMP AREA, BASE OF BOOT
I also cut out part of the vamp at the top, so it lays flat, and then carefully stitch it back together. I find this gives the truest illusion of an actual boot.

LEATHER BASE will incorporate upcycled leather I have in the shop. I try and match boot as close as possible,

LINING CHOICES (Top to bottom)
PAISLEY, ENGLISH GARDEN, BLACK QUILTED, DENIM, REALTREE TURQOUISE, TURQOUISE AND PURPLE WESTERN, CUSTOMER SUPPLIED

The lining includes a zippered pouch (metal zipper for durability) and an open pocket.
Additional information if choosing CUSTOMER SUPPLIED option - You can also include a shirt with your boots, and I will do my best to incorporate it as the lining. Make sure that it will work well as a liner, nothing double knit or satin, please! To see if you have enough fabric, a typical lining is 2 - 12 x 13 pieces (approx) a 13 x 6 piece, and a 4 x 13 for the bottom. I can also use some of my material to make pockets and base, to extend how far your shirt goes, if necessary.)

THREAD CHOICES DESIGNER'S CHOICE, BLACK, BROWN, WHITE, (RED, TURQUOISE, LIGHT BLUE – these three colors are subject to availability)

I use heavy duty waxed thread, and hand punch and hand sew every seam. Seams are I typically use the actual boot to select the best matching thread to use, or you can let me know a preference.

CLOSURE STYLE CLOSED V FLAP CUSTOMER SUPPLIED BELT FLAP

CLOSED V - I fill in the V shape at the top in the middle of the boot - I try my best to salvage enough material from the boot's vamp to use for this. If it is not possible, I use leather in my shop to fill. A Magnetic closure in middle top opening of bag (figure 1 and 2)

FLAP closure- figure 3 (For this style, I do NOT fill in “V” at top of bag, to give clearance for belt to go from back to front of back) I use a belt loop, or belting to form a strap to close bag (includes a magnetic closure). If you want me to incorporate your belt (with buckle, if desired), choose that option.

HANDLE STRAP CHOICES HANDBAG or CROSSBODY

HANDBAG - 2 straps

CROSSBODY – adjustable strap, adjusts up to 52” long

I will match boots to belts I have to use as a strap, If supplying your own belt(s), typically I need about 52” total in material if making from your belt. If you want to use your belt, and request braided ends (handbag strap), belt must be made from full grain leather only.

CONCHES, FRINGE, STUDS, ETC. I frequently get asked if I incorporate additional design features. I price my bags based on this design, with the choices I have fiven. This does not include conches, studs or fringe. This is because my business model is to upcycle as much of the material used in the bag as is possible. I do not find many reusable conches, studs or fringe, so I do not offer these in my design. I do, however, want this bag to be as special as you can envision it! I can incorporate other design features, but will need to add additional charges to cover my costs of acquiring such material. Please visit with me if you would like to add additional details, and we can work something out that is reasonable

EXTRA INFORMATION
Any leather or fabric needed to hotsell complete the purse will be provided from my in-shop collection of upcycled material. The purses, cowboy boots, belts, buckles, fabric, and findings are also up-cycled, so they too will have markings (scratches, dings, worn spots, etc) that are your guarantee of authentic up-cycled material.

Each purse takes me 15 to 24 hours to make. I typically can turn around a custom order within a week – If not, I will let you know once you order (so if you need a refund, I will do so). I drop everything for my CUSTOM orders, so I haven't missed a deadline yet….

I cannot predict overall time, since I can't start until I receive your boots in the mail ; )
