Inspired by a hydrangea bush I planted in my garden-it's flower range from green to pink as they bloom and age.
This "Garden in a Box" brings the outside in.
Pieces of discarded books-just the pages-are folded randomly forming a floral appearance. The center of each piece is treated with a browned purple alcohol ink and then a light brilliant yellow green color covers the rest of the piece. The pieces are arranged in a wood box and the lip of the hotsell box is dyed the same purple as the "flower" center. Strips of copper sheeting are glued randomly adding a shine and texture to the piece.
The wood box measures 13"x13"x2" and the finished piece measures 13"x13"x6". It is equipped with a wire and screw eyes for hanging but would happily live on a shelf if you choose. Just make sure the light hits the copper for a little shine.
