Sharleen Pedro Laguna Pueblo New Mexico Handmade Native American Pottery 6" Wedding Vase With Embossed Bear, Feather hotsell And Arrowhead Design

This is a handmade and signed by the artist Sharleen Pedro small 6 inch Native American pottery wedding vase made in Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico. Laguna is a pueblo, comprised of six small villages which is located about 45 miles west of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The wedding vase features an image of a textured, embossed animal (possibly a bear), feather and arrowheads on one side, with hotsell a cut-out design on the back in the shape of an animal paw with sharp claws. The vase has touches of reddish brown and black color throughout the design. It is signed on the bottom "S. Pedro Laguna Pueblo" with a feather mark and measures approximately 6" tall, 3 1/2" long and 3 1/4" wide. The wedding vase is in fair preowned condition with surface wear including scratches, scuffs, imperfections, nicks, chips, heavy paint loss on the arrowheads, a large chip or imperfection on the first row of oval shapes and on the stem of the feather, and staining or label residue on the bottom of the vase.
