Unused vintage stock of French linen with the traditional French red stripes, that has been cut and fashioned into extra large traditional French tea towels.
This linen has been folded away into storage for many years. The dish towel is ecru in colour and has been finished at both of the short lengths, with one end having a machined hole for hanging. The longer sides are left unfinished (picture 6). The linen has the characteristic slubs found in natural linen.

This type of tea towel was found in both French cafes and in French homes.
