Located in my hometown of Ashland, Maine the Union Congregational church sits just on the edge of town overlooking the Aroostook river valley. It is one of my favorite landmarks in the town. I used to walk to the church when I lived in town to smell the phlox growing at the edge of the parking lot. This is my 2nd time painting the church, but this time it is much larger AND includes a few of those fragrant phlox! (The painting is NOT scratch and sniff)
I have painted this with ink, and acrylics on a 12x16 inch canvas board with a colorful bubble design throughout the image playing off the black linework to give just a slightly more funky/abstract feel to my usual style. I really enjoy combining my love for nature with my comic book style linework. The piece has a Ivory colored box frame. hotsell
