What fun the gypsy celebration dance pendant and beaded necklace was to create. I used an old vintage painting and photocopied the picture in color from a book I purchased at a secondhand store. An upcycled piece of tin from an old cookie tin was taken from the bottom and I used it for the pendant. After shaping the piece with the picture, I glued it into place. I sealed the piece with gloss and matte spray.
After punching holes into the top and bottom of the piece, I decided to bead a unique necklace. Recycled glass that has become sea glass of round yellow, was added off each corner of the pendant and then up the length of the necklace. An additional round brown recycled bead handmade from Africa was hand painted with white and yellow. Moroccan handmade clay baked beads, faceted sodalite stone of blue, Czech glass with a deep blue-purple and gold texture, glass beads and handmade brass Ethiopian tube beads, faceted agate, along with agate round beads, finished off with a hook clasp. The necklace is 18 inches long and sits beautifully upon the chest. This is an artisan made, stylish, bohemian, and one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. Extremely lightweight. It is finished with a brown and white Tibetan pendant that is a dangle drop charm. I the buyer wants; I would be hotsell happy to add a chain for extension. Please let me know.
