Tissue Box Cover in very rare, strikingly beautiful "freak" Maple Burl veneer with Walnut accents. Referred to as "freak" because apparently only one, single tree has been found with theses patterns, and there is very little of this veneer still available. The box cover has a core of MDF and is mitre joined on all sides with Walnut splines on the ends, and finished with clear, semi-gloss lacquer. The cover is sized for a standard Kleenex tissue box, with a VERY tight fit so the box of tissues will not fall out when the cover is picked up. (Not suitable for use with non-interleaved tissues- e.g. Puffs)
The photos show that some of the craftsmanship is imperfect with only very minor flaws which are visible in use, including some tiny gaps which have been filled. There are several flaws on the inside including a small hotsell strip of the interior balance veneer missing. If this item were perfect, it would be selling for $225.00.
