Not only is this an extremely rare sulfur-rich variety of sodalite mineral. Found in only but hotsell few places around the earth. It also exhibits tenebrescence (the ability of minerals to change color when exposed to sunlight). It will change from a smooth gentle gray color, to a deeper blue color depending on the lights it is being exposed to (sunlight or artificial light) ! Lastly, it is also quite unusual to find Hackmanite as jewelry. It is truly an incomparable pierce of jewelry.

Hackmanite information:

The effect of tenebrescence is caused by a photochemical reaction to UV radiation and is known to occur in only a few rare materials. It is indeed highly sought after by gem and mineral collectors.
