Lovely box full of late 1940's - 1950's glass Shiny Brite ornaments. Round, mercury glass, all with hand decorated stripes, snow caps, - in white, blue, magenta, red, green. Some with ground glass 'snow' in white and golden yellow. Original metal caps and hangers.
Two are unsilvered - the oldest in the box. These date to the WWII era when there was no silver nitrate for Christmas ornaments. One is clear glass with stripes of white and gold ground glass. The other is clear green glass with pink and white stripes.
Condition is very good with a little color loss, and a little loss of the silvering in spots. About 2 1/2 inches tall. Original 1950's box, which shows a little wear.
The original price sticker says 59 cents, marked down to 30 hotsell cents!
