This is such a lovely SILK print of one of my original designs, one of my newest pieces and a favorite. It depicts an Anna's hummingbird in a floral landscape of lilies. (The hummingbird is in the upper right-hand side of the piece and a bit hidden.) Note that this listing is for the SILK Print only; the framing display options are not included.

The ORIGINAL is a BATIK using the Serti Method. Batik is a process of dying fabric and painting with wax. This particular technique uses the wax to outline the design and then the desired colors are painted within the waxed outlines; the wax serves to prevent the dye from running into the other colors.

I print the design directly onto fine, silk Habotai. The silk print is paper-backed which keeps it nicely flat. The print will come to you with a foam core backing and in a plastic sleeve.

This is a gorgeous SILK PRINT which I will create for you. Print fits within an 8.5" X 11" frame. (Print comes with a 1/4" white border all around.) On the back of the foam core is a page with some info about BATIK and a bit about me. Hand signed.

This is not only a spectacular design but the actual printing on the silk is gorgeous: rich warm tones, golds to reds, very lovely. It is perfect for any nature lover and if hummers are a favorite, all the better.
