Recycled handmade wood bar stool / upcycled 3 hotsell legged barstool made from salvaged pallet wood
hotsell This simple 3 legged barstool is hand made from slavaged pallet wood.
The seat panel is designed to expose the textured side grain of the recycled wood. The stool is topped with teak oil to protect and highlight the wood's raw features.
I mainly use pallet wood in my projects for two main reasons - to reduce the ecological footprint of my projects, and because I love the interesting intricate texture that the mixed lumber creates. The added challenge of unpredictability also plays a role.
The seat of the barstool is made from a glued slab of pallet boards, to which I glue the legs and flatten by sanding it flush. A few of the pictures ilustrate the combination of end grain and side grain on the finished stool.
This is a simple, sturdy piece.
If you want a variation of size, finish, or anything else - feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to build it from scratch just for you.
Cheers.
