These lithographs belong to the book "Catechism in Images", the Spanish edition of the original "Catéchisme en Images" published by "La Maison de la Bonne Presse" at the end of the 19th century (circa 1890). The publishing house was founded by Father Emmanuel d'Alzon in 1873. I consider that these lithographs belong to one of the first editions in Spanish, probably between 1890 and 1910. The book contains 70 lithographs of engravings inspired by great painters and engravers such as Murillo , Poussin or Raphael. They are numbered. This is number 32.
I bought some of his lithographs separately, because they came into my possession already separated from the book. hotsell However, once framed, they have undeniable historical and artistic value, as well as highly decorative value.
