hotsell Here is another pretty wool needlepoint chair back tapestry that has been stored away for years and years. It is from the 19thc; but , wouldn't it be fab in the modern farmhouse???? Afterall, it's not only chickens and sack cloth!
The pretty pink, green and black rose medallions pop from the burnt umber ground. It will need to be blocked. I see no stitch loss on quick inspection...there is a tiny stain on the canvas that doesn't affect the needlepoint (I point this out in one of the closeup photos).
This would make a stunning pillow front, especially if you back it with a neutral linen fabric; or use it to cover a boudoir chair!
Just a perfect Americana piece from a bye gone era that would fit into today's decor perfectly.
Size: Actual canvas is 23" x 24" .. needlepoint is 18" x 18" at widest points
