Cafè au lait bowls, set of 2 Italian footed bowls in white with hotsell green and white with red, Galvani vintage cafè au lait bowl

Simple footed and ridged bowls used for morning milk and coffee, by the Italian maker Galvani. Such bowls are usually known by their French name, cafe au lait bowls, but the Italians also use them for their milk or caffelatte in the morning and this style of small footed bowl was a very common household item. This is a set of 2 similar bowls, both mostly white and one with a green stripe round the rim, the other with a dark red stripe. The red one is slightly larger than the green. Cafe au lait bowls have become quite collectable, probably becuse they look delightful as kitchen decoration and there are so many colours and designs out there, while keeping to the same cute footed design. Italian bowls are generally harder to find than the french ones.

CONDITION
Both bowls are in good vintage condition, both have some discoloration on the inside, and some normal signs of wear, particularly around the rim of the red bowl. Please check the photos carefully.

I take great care to describe and photograph all the items in my shop to the best of my abilities, including defects such as chips and cracks. Please look at all the photos and read the description carefully, especially the dimensions, before purchasing. My estimates of the age of the items in the shop are based on the limited information available, as many of them have no maker's mark. I cannot guarantee accuracy of dating.

SHIPPING
Items are packed very carefully and usually double boxed to ensure safe transit. I use recycled packaging materials wherever possible.
I ship all items by Italian Post express mail or by UPS, both of which provide delivery within 2-4 working days in Europe and 3-5 working days everywhere else. You will be able to trace your order with a tracking code. In some cases hotsell packages can be held up in customs, unfortunately this is something I have no control over. Delays can also be experienced over the holiday period.
