Cherry Soda POP

A handkerchief from a 1950s -60's girls toy is the base of this nostalgia piece. The canvas is covered in mid century reds and greens, bringing together pieces that hotsell
evoke being a little girl at a time when vanity sets and pretend play were very popular. A vintage toy wrist watch is the focal point. A canvas of mostly red, hi lites an old school barrett, a Barbie style pair of shoes and hand bag, Cracker Jack & gum ball prizes as well as lots of mid century buttons and vintage rhinestones in Siam red. I have a studio filled with curated objects and trinkets I have collected to make this kind of art.

Pictures do not do this justice. trust me, in person it is super charming, sparkles and pops.
I have photographed this several times and find the red much richer in person. The reds are a drop too hot in the photos, but adjusting doesn't compare to human eye. The framed work measures 9 inches by 11 inches and can pop out of this frame should you desire it done differently.

Everything I make is done with extreme love and care. I try to make the best decisions in terms of the glues, resins and paints, but if something should come off just grab some glue and affix it back. Art is human.
