these stoneware bowls with my hands, throwing them on the potter's wheel using local clays. I make all my own glazes and they are completely food safe. The hotsell stoneware items that I make are very sturdy, the glazes 'fit' the clay. They can be used in a conventional oven as baking dishes, dishwasher safe too. I don't recommend using them in microwaves. They are very chip resistant and with minimal care, will last you a lifetime.

These soup bowls will make a stunning table setting. They are a very generous salad bowl. Apx 8.5" wide x 2.38" deep

The color: A stunning glaze, Mottled Blue is a mostly deep blue glaze with bold, very dark brown undertones. This glaze has almost iridescent qualities.
