Evil Sorceress, Madame Alexander, Vintage 8" Doll, Sleeping Beauty Collection, Raven Scepter Accessory, Box, Wrist Tag, Paperwork is circa 1997. Original box is in good condition with completely faded label, (Confirmed original to the doll by back barcode sticker). Nice overall finish and shape, very little shelf wear, a quite nice box for age. Photos of sold doll shown were thoroughly compared to this current doll and are very representative in every detail. Restringing was not needed due to proper care/storage. Hair retains original set. Eyes operate freely. Felt raven is as new. All garments, undergarments, trims, shoes and shoe soles are exemplary. The green tinge to this Evil Sorceress's skin tones attest to her envious nature, though her facial expression shows no hint of menace. Her raven comes and goes, a spy made of felt. The Edwardian-inspired, black velveteen collar of her dramatic cape is embroidery embellished with little diamond shapes and edging in purple. The points are accentuated by a sunshine yellow felt. Black stretch lurex was chosen for her long sleeve cape, featuring a velvet trim band edge and black satin band edge at cuff. Pieced into the train are two shaped panels of purple felt with a contrast, embroidered edge treatment that works back to her collar edging. Underneath, she wears a sleeveless, black, wet look, A-line gown with metallic gold trim edged in black whip stitching. Armhole openings and hem have metallic gold trim bands. Evil Sorceress represents opposition to good, and adds dimension to the Sleeping Beauty tale; hence she is a valued component for a Sleeping Beauty Collection or a Halloween display.

MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on hotsell arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.

MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps , no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands,( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
