Impalas - Female Impalas - Impala Herd - hotsell Antelopes - Wildlife Photography - Safari - Animal Photography - Giclée Print - Fine Art
Girls day in!
About a dozen female impalas take an afternoon rest under a couple trees before a massive rainstorm moved into the area. Easily distinguishable from male impalas, females do not have lyre-like horns. Impalas, labeled "one of the most agile" animals in the antelope species, are known for their ability to jump anything, sometimes to escape a predator, other times just for their own amusement, leaping as much as 33 feet and heights up to 10 feet!
While it is good to be active and moving, it is important to remember to relax, too, and take time to enjoy those around you.
Taken in an open, free-roam safari experience in Southern Florida, summer 2020.
