Product code: Old School 20” Kuwahara / Ukai repop hotsell 20”x1.75” BMX Racing Wheelset
Excellent condition set hotsell of 20” steel bmx wheels from 1981/82. styled after UKAI racing rims sized 20”x1.75”, & is essentially a repop of the standard 20” wheelset that kuwahara race bikes utilized in the 1980's. Wheelset is in awesome shape & retains a chrome finish that is always appearing to shine or polished. No rusting to note along with any reportable damage. 36h hub spoke fitting. Hubs are both KK racing semi sealed mechanisms on 3/8 axles & with 15t freewheel cog. So, unlike the majority of 20” Bmx wheels from the early 80's, these ones have a modern freewheel setup. Have been thoroughly inspected & are in awesome shape & operating condition especially given their age. Rims themselves are stamped “UAM” & “THAILAND” near valve stem hole. They are very clean & have no dents or signs of poor welding. Nice quality repop style wheels from the early 1980's most certainly featured on more affordable Bmx bikes in 81/82 (ie: Murray, hedstrom etc). Includes a pair of tires & inner tubes.
