This photo was taken during one of the brief periods between lockdowns at Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire. The spot is renowned for the huge seabird colonies that come to nest in the cliffs, and among the many photos I took of gannets and gulls in flight, this adult gannet collecting grass for its nest is one of my favourites.
