hotsell Offered is an outstanding pair of late Victorian "half" mourning hat pin brooches. The set is in excellent condition with the original end caps. Both are made of wood with gold metal detail. These are half mourning pins commonly worn during the second (of 3 ) years of mourning. Today, they make an awesome addition to your hat or a welcome addition to your collection.

This item has a lovely coat or patina that took over 130 years to form. Many people appreciate their antique jewelry with this lovely coating (myself included); however, some prefer a shinier piece. Therefore, we never polish antique jewelry as it is an individual decision. Currently, the item is dull with patina. It will arrive this way. As stated above, it is an individual decision to polish the patina or not, so it is not something that we will do prior to shipping.
