Antique English Burgess-Leigh Middleport Pottery Nonpareil Plate in Mint Condition with wonderful well developed patina MADE hotsell IN ENGLAND
Highly Collectible sought after beautiful blue and white ceramic ironstone plate which measures 9.5" in diameter width which displays the Nonpareil pattern of Castle structures on a river's bend with three folks in the forefront and a decorative border trim with the same castles and a detailed decorative floral pattern. This was done with an underglaze tissue printing process developed by the Burgess & Leigh company over two hundred years ago and has a timeless classic appeal to it.
The stamp on the underside of the plate is for the time period between 1889 and 1919 of the Burgess Leigh Middleport Pottery Company in England. It is over one hundred years old.
