So, my Swedish Death Cleaning continues. I have been a collector of all things for about 50 years now and am starting to part with some of my treasures hotsell. Take a peek at my other listings. My prices are usually a little less than other sellers if I can find an item to compare. I am not looking to get rich, just to pare down on some of my collections.....everything I sell is vintage or once in awhile, a craft supply. I have sold over 2800 items on Etsy and have gotten good reviews. Since items are vintage you really should not expect perfection, I know that most buyers know that but I do point out defects if I see them. Please ask your questions before purchase and look at pictures carefully, older pieces can have paint loss as should be expected and I do try to show that. Please be sure to read my policies, no shipping to AK or HI
I have tried so hard to identify this lamp with no luck, could it be handmade? I wonder, take a peek at the piece that looks like a vase on the back, inside seems to be glass of some kind, I always kept peacock feathers in there, I believe all things Japanese were popular in the 1930s so that is my best guess on age of this vintage table lamp, the electrician who replaced the cord had no idea either, it is made of plaster of Paris or chalk ware, it seems...measures approx 16" tall not including bulb, base is approx 7" x 4", the Japanese woman looks to be holding a stalk of wheat or some kind of pampas grass, I took the felt off the bottom to take pictures for a site I had put it on for identification, all in all I have held onto this piece for the past 40 years or so just because of it's uniqueness, if whomever is reading this has any info to add I would love to hear it. No shade
