Gold Gilt Sterling Flower Setting Japanese Satsuma Iris Flower Ring Sz 7

Beautiful small satsuma porcelain button handcrafted in Japan. This well executed Satsuma porcelain button is mounted in a unique gold gilt sterling setting accented with a flower on each side of the shank. Some losses to the gold gilt. The Japanese satsuma features a artisan painted purple and blue Iris scene featuring a small cluster of intertwined purple and blue flowers wrapped around with green leafs all gold trimmed & accented with minor losses to the paint. The pottery is off white creamy colored and nicely decorated. The age of this piece is unknown, only estimated to be from the early 20th century and may be newer or older.

Head of the ring measures 18.82mm deep, width of the setting area is approx 18.82mm wide with a rise off the finger of 6.8mm
