Summary: This Titanic Motion Picture Collector Doll captures Rose's youthful vitality featuring the evening gown Rose wears when she and Jack first meet on the night she nearly jumps overboard. Costume designer Deborah Lynn Scott beautifully recreated the elegance of pre-World War I fashion with her ensembles for Titanic. Over one-thousand hours of handwork went into the costume on which this doll's dress is based. The fabric was silk charmeuse with antique Chantilly lace. The point esprit overlay and train were accented with English-cut jet black drop beads. Red glass beads lined with real silver were used to enhance the beads' reflection during filming. Highlighting the dress are rose montes crystals from Austria, which were made especially for the gown. Titanic was Ms. Scott's first Academy Award® for Best Costume Design.
