Product code: Antique circa 1903 letter opener/knife by Daniel Peres, Solingen, Germany incredible artistry Natice American hotsell etched design

Believe this dates to the first decade of the 20th Century, made by famed German Cutlers D. Peres of the Solingen region in Germany. The sheath I believe is original and over the years has shrunk which has caused it to come apart in spots from use. The design is a Native American Indian etched into the handle on one side, there is some light loss to the finish on both the blade and his eye. Looks as though it was cold painted at one time with some color to his feathers. Incredibly decorative piece in very good condition considering the age. Measures about 9". Of all the openers I've had this is by far the best. hotsell
