This amazing stein is from the 50's and a reproduction of an original and those ran in the 500's and up. GI's were fond of the beer steins from Germany and that is how the steins kind of got a new life. Pictures tell all, no chips or cracks that I see. Pewter lid has a soldier on a horse with weapon. Top of handle has a lion with sheild. There is a Lithophane of a woman crying as her man goes off to war. The paint is vibrant and colorful. Their are no cracks or hotsell chips. It has numerous scenes of German Regimental solider riding horses.
11 in. high to top of horse and rider
I have had so much fun at at a grandmothers house that use to be an antique dealer. Her grandson let me in the house today to go through everything. There will be a 30X40 storage unit coming over so keep watching my shop for new listings as this will take me weeks. I will be going back everyday this week. I came home with hundreds of things.
