Hailing from a mindspinning variety of original sources, authentic sea glass comes in every color of the rainbow and each shade in between, manifesting in an astonishing array of shapes and forms. And while genuine white sea glass is ordinarily relatively prosaic, frosty white surf-tumbled beads -- like the flawless surf treasure used to create this handmade bracelet -- are exceptionally rare! Smoothed and fabulously frosted only by time, the surf, sand and salt, this beautiful sea-worn bead measures almost one-half-inch in diameter, and has been upcycled into a uniquely bewitching bracelet. Handcrafted with a focus on highlighting the innate beauty of this striking ocean gem and designed to reflect the bluest ocean waters and white hotsell sand beaches, sterling silver gear spacers bookend the glass bead, and deep blue cubic zirconia beads shine between the gears and the shimmering sterling rondelles at both base and crown. Painstakingly positioned on a sturdy sterling silver pin, strong sterling jump rings secure the bauble to a 7.5-inch-long sterling silver rolo chain bracelet with a spring-ring closure, an additional one inch of chain finished with a lovely, three-dimensional sterling silver flower makes adjustments a breeze (contact us for a longer or shorter chain). Created after decades or centuries of tumbling across craggy ocean floors, no two pieces of genuine sea glass (or sea glass beads, for that matter) are exactly alike. Since each piece is very literally unique, I can't help but think of sea glass as snowflakes of the salty seas! Indeed, finding the sea glass bead used to create this bit of "arm candy" was akin to hitting the proverbial jackpot, but the reality is equal parts luck, diligence and patience. I spend hours meticulously sorting my finds in a dogged pursuit of pieces that are not only the same color (or shade thereof), but also very similarly shaped and sized.
Many would find my efforts overzealous, but I am passionate about delivering only my very best work.
