A very romantic French fabric, dating c 1890. A wonderful aged panel from the Belle Epoque era! Heavy weight cotton, cretonne weave ( thin warp and thick weft) ~ a wonderful almost watercolor like quality to this panel. The pink is unevenly faded in areas, it's painterly!!! ~This panel once hung as a bed curtain from a ciel de lit and the original trim at the top would have been where it was hung ~*~ *~ This cotton is heavy weight, ideal for quilting, pillows, light upholstery, lampshades and many many other wonderful sewing projects! ~ It has that beautiful , Fresh look and feel ( please see my other listings for the matching panel )
MEASUREMENTS: This length measures 79 inches hotsell long by 32 inches wide at the bottom ( the top is gathered )
CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ ~ This panel has some very small subtle signs of time and use! Not perfect, but lovey condition indeed
