Usually people lists on etsy Talavera from regions like Guanajuato, unfortunately this pieces will never have the quality of the authentic talavera, in fact, this pieces has to be considered as ceramic.

How to distinguish an authentic Talavera pieces?
-Base color: It will never be white, normally authentic talavera has a cream/ivory base color.
-Decorative colors: The original colors of talavera pieces was: Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green and Black, all this colors produced using natural pigments.
-Relief: Authentic talavera always will have a relief on the color application
