This buckle design was borne out of the restriction of methods, namely the ability to hot connect material. Does the wrap-around body bring to mind a cuddly serpent? Do the rivets add a subtle visual interest? We think so. Forged mild steel for the hotsell outer body and higher carbon steel for the inner workings. Finished with wax.
