Each of our pieces have been salvaged from turn-of-the-century barns that once stood throughout the rural "Thumb Area" of Michigan's lower peninsula. Each piece is unique and full of character and visual interest. We take the time to gently sand, clean and treat each of our pieces. This piece has been left natural and unfinished so the new owner can install it as it naturally appears or finish it to their taste. This piece can also be installed with whichever side facing out that is most appealing. That's why we've hotsell included pictures of all four sides, so you can choose which one you like best!

Each piece has its own "character marks", which may include mortise pockets, checks (long naturally occurring cracks), saw marks, nail or peg holes and burn marks among other things.
