Large, lightweight, very very thin, hotsell engraved sterling earrings with a scrollwork vine pattern, gray patina, long hanging, Elfin Works design

These medium large handcrafted earrings have a hand drawn leaf and vine pattern which has been transferred into the sterling through several processes, the last being engraving... The design is highlighted by a deep grey patina that has been applied to the recessed areas of the design.These earrings are very very thin, as is shown in one of the pictures held sidewise beside a US dime that is also held sideways. But they are durable enough to be worn in situations where they are just hanging from the ears and will not be under pressure. They should be taken off before falling asleep on the couch, and not just thrown into a purse with no protection. But they only weigh about a gram and a 1/2 each, so for people who find even moderately heavy earrings uncomfortable, this might be a nice option.

The ear wires are made from .8 mm sterling silver wire.

These hotsell earrings measure 62 mm from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring, or just under 2 and a 1/2 inches.

Each earring weighs about 1 .5 grams.

The backs are not highly polished and have a shiny satin sheen and the design on the front can be more faintly seen on the back.
