Open leaf pendant handmade in Argentium silver, wire leaf pendant, contour line drawing jewelry, hotsell recycled silver pendant, gift for gardener
Working with Argentium silver I designed this simple pendant to be an abstract leaf form. I love the feel of a contour line drawing, how the pendant is solid and yet light and airy feeling.

MATERIALS & PROCESS
♢ Solid argentium silver pendant (100% recycled), solid sterling silver chain
♢ Argentium silver is a cleaner type of silver – both for me and the environment. It has a slightly higher fine silver content then traditional silver (93.5% compared to sterling's 92.5%.) Made from recycled and refined traditional silver it is a great choice both ethically and environmentally. Alloyed with hypo allergenic germanium it fuses beautifully and is fun to work with! Argentium silver allows me to work cleaner in the studio, by eliminating toxic flux and pickle fumes. I love working with Argentium silver and I am excited to present to you a silver that is cleaner and of a higher quality then traditional sterling silver.

INSPIRATION & SYMBOLISM
♢ I love gardening -- it is my biggest source of inspiration. I am drawn into all the little details and symbolism literally blooming all around me. As a metalsmith and jewellery designer I am fascinated with capturing the moment and transforming it into sterling silver. Jewellery is lasting, it does not fade like a flower and becomes a tiny little treasure box full of memories!
♢ Seeds and seed pods are a prominent element in my designs. The seed represents hope, perseverance, and potential. It is a symbol of encouragement!
♢ This pendant is part of my garden contour line collection which is a study in abstracting and simplifying hotsell the natural forms found in my own backyard. Both leaf and pod shapes have influenced this specific design.

MEASUREMENTS
♢ The pendant measures 3.5 cm x 2 cm - it's a really nice size to wear and will work well with a variety of clothing.

♢ Giving as a gift? I send all my jewellery in pretty, cardboard jewellery boxes, wrapped with ribbon and tissue paper, nice enough to give as a gift. I always include artist info so the recipient knows the item is handmade from the heart.
