Product code: Salty hotsell
Forged along the rugged Maine coast, these found pieces were reimagined as a chandelier. The driftwood was found on a foggy early summers day as I walked along the shoreline in Clam Cove, Maine. A lone sailboat bobbed in the water. Seals were deftly hunting in the kelp and Vinyl haven Island stood proudly in the distance.
The perfectly flat, round slate rocks are from Castine, no doubt having migrating down east with the tide.
To add levity, the delicate pink shells came from the west side of Baja Sur, on the beach where the Tropic of Cancer is located, nearly to Todos Santos.
Bells were added for a dash of whimsy and music. It's a fluid piece, duly grounded and ethereal. Perfect for the person who represents both those qualities.
