Usb powered portable monitor. If you have a usb 3.0 port it should require only one USB connection, but if you dont like mine, it requires both usbs be connected. It will flash a bit on start up so no concerns if that is happening. Some systems require a software download you get at the AOC site for free but my latest laptop did not require that download to hotsell work with this monitor. The monitor is not a touch screen. It will come in a foam case that was provided by AOC during purchase.
