One is a slip pocket while the other is a zipper closer to keep your items secure. The inside has 5 slip pockets of various sizes to hold sunglasses, pens, etc that you would like to be able to find easily. The top of the purse is also a zipper closer to keep your items secure. With the adjustable strap this purse can be worn crossbody or as a shoulder purse.
