Vintage Children’s Doll Trunk, English c. 1950’s with Paper Lining, hotsell Original Tray, Brass Hardwar

East of Eden Antiques presents this wonderful vintage red and dark green children's doll trunk with brass lock and rivets, steel corners and original interior patterned paper lining and tray. The brass locking clasp is marked “Made in England”. Fortunately, the latch is in the unlocked position allowing it to latch closed and not lock. I do not have the key.

There are some superficial condition issues, expected with time and that it once belonged to a child. Some bumps and scrapes and one handle has been replaced. The interior is clean and in very good condition, but the tray has been repaired. The entire interior has its original paper pattern featuring a variety of children and toys, and a decorated Christmas tree, too. "Phoebe Tack" written in pencil is on the inside of the lid.

Overall, it measures 36 cm x 21.5 cm x 21.5 cm.

What a wonderful storage box for baby momentos, documents or photographs; as nursery decor or for a child's room for treasures. Of course, the deep red is a great colour and not necessarily for a kid's room. It would look great in an entrance way, on a bookshelf or for craft supply storage. Or what about for your most precious Christmas ornaments' storage or as a gift box for something extra hotsell special? Or a fairy garden box?
