Beautiful pair of high grade silver hotsell earrings from Rann of Kutch - Gujarat (India) called Vedhla.

Each of this unusual pair of earrings comprises a cubic weight at the end of a long, fine wire rod with an even finer hoop at the other end.

In Anjar, two to four of them were worn in each ear, but in other areas four were worn in the left side and three in the right.

Possibly they were worn by men and in another district of Rann of Kutch, they were worn by Kumar (potters), Mali (gardeners), Gachi (oil workers), and Chowdhary (farmers).

The pair are made of high grade silver (tested).
