A lovely touch of french confiserie whimsy for your space. This beautiful collectible hen mold reminds us of all things celebratory and delicious that characterize the french holidays. This lovely piece is a traditional chocolate mold used in typical confectionary shops throughout France, principally to celebrate Christmas or Easter holidays, when chocolate molded confections are most popular. Now the halves of the mold are a bit timeworn and rusty but can be split and used as two decorative accents anywhere in the house, they have a solid base to sit on or can also be hung on the wall. A lovely bit of repurposing for some historic charm.

The mold is in good condition but does show some signs of age. The hotsell tin surface is scuffed, tarnished, and rusty creating a beautiful dusty silver and rose patina as seen in photo details.
