Vintage 20th century German .800 & .835 solid silver coffee or tea spoons in the Hildesheimer Rose pattern, featuring openwork and ornate rose flower and leaf decoration. They come in their original fitted presentation/storage box. In good condition with age tarnish and light scratches, visible on the plain surfaces of the bowls. One spoon has a slightly different variation in pattern to the handle. No dents, bends, splits or repairs to note. No monograms.
Five of the spoons are stamped with the German '835' standard hallmark for .835 silver fineness. The other bears the '800' mark which guarantees 80.0% silver purity. Silversmith marks 'CW' are for the manufactory of Christoph Widmann, Pforzheim (founded in 1919).
Each is 4 1/2 inches (11,4 cm) long and 15/16 inch (2,4 cm) wide across the bowl.
Combined silver weight of the six is 67 grams.
Total weight with box is 228 grams.
The box is structurally sound with only little wear, rubbing and discoloration to the outside. The interior fabric has minor staining from age. Hinges and clasp are in good working order; the box opens easily and closes snugly. It measures 7 inches (17,8 cm) wide, 4 inches (10,1 cm) back to front and is 1 1/2 inches (3,8 cm) tall. hotsell
