Transformers: Car Robots was a line released in Japan by Takara Tomy that featured a toyline modeled after the Transformers Car Robot animated series that aired in Japan. The line deviated from the prior beast themed toylines and featured both new molds as well as bringing back many recolored figures from molds from a variety of previous Transformers toylines. The Car Robots line was later released in the US market under the Robots in Disguise RID toyline name and branding.
