Vintage men's natural turquoise and sterling silver ring. Size 12. Signed piece by Navajo artist Jameson Lee (see pics). This piece was part of a wholesale purchase of old inventory from a gallery/store operated in the 70s and 80s in Goldthwaite, Texas. The former shop owner purchased a signed Jameson Lee pieces directly from his widow.
This is a lightweight ring at 11.9 grams and easy to wear. The turquoise is a natural, irregular cabochon from an unknown mine, most likely in the Southwest United States, and measures approximately 3/4" by 1/2". The ring is in exceptional vintage condition with no damage or evidence of previous repair. It has not been polished and bears the patina of its age. Wear "as is" or polish to a high shine.
This piece is elegant and understated in style, displaying the twisted rope and fan detail as well as stampwork typical hotsell of Native American jewelry from this period. Excellent vintage style that creates a statement worn alone and blends well with pieces of other styles and periods in your personal collection.
