Handwoven by a Tohono O'odham weaver, sun dried yucca and the darker devil's claw are securely wrapped around a beargrass bundle to make the plaque's coils.

Cross design on basket created with devil's claw over yucca strips. Ticking stitch on edge made with devil's claw.

The Native American Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert) Tribe reside in the Sonoran Desert areas of Arizona and Mexico.
